Gathering Together: Team Building Activities Before the Mid-Autumn Festival
The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional holiday in China that symbolizes reunion and togetherness. Kelaiwood organized a unique team-building activity for employees to celebrate this special occasion—creating pearl bracelets. This event not only fostered interaction among colleagues but also allowed everyone to experience the warmth of the festival in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
The round shape of the pearls beautifully aligns with the theme of the Mid-Autumn Festival, representing the full moon and the joy of family gatherings. Each pearl, much like every piece of our wooden flooring, is a unique gift from nature, showcasing individual characteristics.
During the activity, participants excitedly opened “mystery boxes,” with some discovering lavender pearls while others were fortunate to find glowing magenta ones. Beyond the typical round shapes, the pearls also came in various forms, including heart-shaped and oval, leading to a delightful mix of emotions among the participants.
Colleagues showcased their pearls and exchanged them, striving to create personalized bracelets. In the subsequent drilling phase, our charming team members Nicholas and Maggie took the lead—Nicholas handled the drilling while Maggie organized the pearls, ensuring an orderly process. Yina captured these precious moments on her phone, documenting the creation of beautiful pearl bracelets through teamwork.
Throughout the afternoon, in a cheerful environment, colleagues engaged in conversation while crafting their bracelets, resulting in a stunning array of creations. Below are some highlights of the artwork made by our team.
Typically, our interactions are work-focused; however, this team-building event not only enhanced camaraderie among colleagues but also provided an opportunity for relaxed communication amidst busy schedules. Everyone enjoyed the creative process and the festive spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Finally, I wish everyone who reads this article a happy reunion with family, just like during the Mid-Autumn Festival!
